If you’ve ever found yourself stuck for what to listen to quality radio-wise in Berlin, may the pursuit end here, as we welcome the founding of Berlin Community Radio, an initiative by local DJs Anastasia Filipovna and Sarah Miles. Having hosted their own radio show and regular night Welcome to the Room over the past two years at mini club Farbfernseher, they have now extended their vision to a whole station, inviting a well-considered lineup of hosts based both temporarily and permanently in Berlin to demonstrate what’s making the city tick right now. Covering a huge variety of topics, their selection includes shows by food-specialist Tommy Tannock to bring the 411 on what to eat and where around town, the best of the online music magazine Noisey from editors Andreas Richter and Eyke süthoff, a rundown of favourite local record store Hardwax’s freshest new arrivals by resident soothsayer Finn Johannsen, and much more, from Lowdown Magazine staff to the co-owner of Pampa Records.
Watch out for their series of parties this summer, big things are planned. And in the mean time keep it locked to BCR. Below is a full list of shows with links to where you can tune in, and a selection of their latest.
