Mobile Kino: Big Directors Small Films at Naherholung Sternchen

Tuesday, March 20

“Mobile Kino this week brings you a short film program full of big names. You know them from attempted Teufelsberg developments, the Oscars, mobster classics, Hilter sympathy rants or simply from their remarkable talent and filmography. Lars von Trier, Scorsese, Tarantino, Spielberg, Wes Anderson and Christopher Nolan are all included. We will screen a mixture of old and new. Many were created before the directors became famous and were made with no money, no experience and no creditability. Others were made later on in their careers as side projects, advertisements or openers for feature films.”

The program will include the following (plus more):

My Best Friends Birthday – Quentin Tarantino – 1987 – 36mins

The Big Shave – Martin Scorsese – 1967 – 6mins

The Key to Reserva – Martin Scorsese – 2007 – 10mins

Doodlebug – Christopher Nolan – 1997 – 3mins

Nocturne – Lars von Trier – 1980 – 9mins

Hotel Chevalier – Wes Anderson – 2007 – 13mins.

Amblin – Steven Spielberg – 1968 – 25mins
