Berlin Film Society presents Italian Neorealism Cinema at Kühlhaus

On Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd, the Berlin Film Society will dedicate itself to the Italian Neorealist movement with screenings of two masterpieces: the 1950 Academy Award-winning  Bicycle Thieves (1948) by Vittorio De Sica and Rome, Open City (1945) by the extraordianry Roberto Rossellini, with a special introduction by Dr. Lisa Akervall, Professor of Film History at Freie Universität Berlin. The screenings will take place in the ice factory Kühlhaus at Gleisdreick, a beautiful building dating back to the 19th century.
