On Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd, the Berlin Film Society will dedicate itself to the Italian Neorealist movement with screenings of two masterpieces: the 1950 Academy Award-winning Bicycle Thieves (1948) by Vittorio De Sica and Rome, Open City (1945) by the extraordianry Roberto Rossellini, with a special introduction by Dr. Lisa Akervall, Professor of Film History at Freie Universität Berlin. The screenings will take place in the ice factory Kühlhaus at Gleisdreick, a beautiful building dating back to the 19th century. We’ve got tickets to gift, check over at our Facebook for more info.
