For over 13 years, Berlin-based artists Maik Schierloh and Joep van Liefland have run
their autonomous, internationally oriented art space Autocenter, a place for art that transcends the hierarchies of the art market. On 29 March 2014 Autocenter will host its second art auction, for which artists have donated works in support of this non-commercial exhibition space. Proceeds from the auction will go towards the upkeep of the Autocenter artistic program and its exhibition space on Leipziger Strasse in Berlin.
The participation of the following artists demonstrates the strong sense of solidarity the artists share among themselves and with Berlin as the city that unites them: Sonja Alhäuser, Eva Berendes, Norbert Bisky, Madeleine Boschan, André Butzer, Marieta Chirulescu, Damien Deroubaix, Tatjana Doll, Martin Eder, Sebastian Hammwöhner, Eberhard Havekost, Mathilde Ter Heijne, K.-H.
